OPERATOR Slow, strict, unforgiving gunfights

A tactical shooter where every corner and magazine counts, on clandestine missions around the world.

Is OPERATOR worth it?

OPERATOR is worth it if…

  • you like slow, careful planning over run-and-gun shooting
  • you enjoy stripping a rifle to the receiver and tuning every part
  • you want co-op missions where talking and moving together matters
  • you like strict gunfights with realistic handling and consequences

A body that moves like a body

What you see is your actual body in the world, not floating hands. Leaning around a corner, aiming, opening a door by hand, or bumping your muzzle against a wall all happen procedurally, so other players see the same thing you do.

You fine-tune crouch height, lean angle, and stance with the mouse, switch between high and low ready to rest stamina, and manage speed, collisions, and manual weapon operation. Shoulder tapping and physical door handling round it out. It makes clearing rooms feel careful and deliberate, where a few inches of exposure decide the fight.

Built-from-scratch guns and kit

Your rifle starts at the receiver. You add barrels, handguards, stocks, grips, magazines, ammunition, sights, magnifiers, suppressors, lights, lasers, and night vision devices, then adjust details like stock length and part position until it fits your mission.

Character kit gets the same treatment, with carriers, helmets, belts, packs, gloves, uniforms, and patterns to mix. The gun feel is a highlight, weighty and mechanical without turning arcadey. Getting the setup right is half the fun, and a dry joke writes itself when your dream build still gets you dropped in one shot.

Plan it, then run it as a team

Missions start at the laptop in the armory. You pick an active operation, read the gathered intelligence, then choose time of day and infiltration point to fit how your squad wants to move, from tight urban rooms to open hostile ground.

Success depends on coordination and talking things through, since the style is measured and unforgiving. You bring battering rams, hammers, tactical grenades, and an ISR feed with thermal imagery that reports on conditions inside your area. Finished an operation and want it harder, easier, or just different. Replay it in simulation mode with changed enemy count and difficulty.

Co-op missions, PvP, and a shoot house

Active operations can be run with fellow operators, and squads of up to 16 are supported for larger multiplayer sessions. PvP lives under simulations as Force on Force, with Team Deathmatch for squad coordination and Free-for-All for testing your own aim and positioning across different settings.

When you want to practice alone, the shooting range has a randomised shoot house that shuffles layout, live targets, and non-targets. A built-in timer and run history show whether you are actually getting faster and cleaner. Realistic ballistics, injury, gore, and active ragdolls keep every mode blunt about mistakes.

Good to know before you deploy?

How do the missions work?

You plan from the armory laptop, choosing an active operation around the globe, reviewing intelligence, then setting time of day and infiltration point. Objectives are high-stakes direct action work, and the unforgiving handling means positioning, ammo, stamina, and injuries all shape the outcome.

What makes the shooting different?

Your full body is rendered in first person, so leaning, aiming, colliding with walls, and interacting with doors happen where your character actually is. Add adjustable crouch and lean, high and low ready positions, variable movement speed, and manual firearm operation, and gunfights become about small, exact choices.

What can I change on my weapons and character?

A lot. Weapons can be stripped to the receiver and rebuilt with barrels, stocks, grips, magazines, ammo types, optics, suppressors, lights, and lasers. Your operator gets detailed clothing and gear options too, so you can set up a quiet night kit, a heavy breacher, or something in between.

Is there anything besides co-op missions?

Yes. Simulation mode lets you replay completed operations with tweaked enemy count and difficulty, Force on Force offers Team Deathmatch and Free-for-All PvP, and the randomised shoot house gives you a timed range with changing layouts and targets for sharpening entries and target recognition.
