Lose a round, come back ridiculous
The hook is simple: the loser gets the toys. Fall behind and you pick from cards that change your stats, your block, or your gun, so every defeat is a chance to counter what just killed you. Stack growth, seeking shots, bounces, and damage until a shotgun starts firing heat-seeking bouncy missiles the size of furniture. Matches stay fast and scrappy, with blocking and jumping mattering as much as aim. A full game takes under 15 minutes, which makes one more duel dangerously easy to agree to.
Noodle arms, serious duels
You play as round little fighters with wobbly noodle arms, flinging each other around bright, blocky arenas. The controls are just shoot, block, and jump, so anyone can start firing within seconds. Then the arenas do their work: platforms to hop between, cover to hide behind, edges to fall off. It is easy to learn and hard to stop finding new angles.
65 powerups that break each other
There are over 65 powerups, with more than 11.2 million possible combinations, and the fun is how badly they interact. One card makes bullets bigger, another makes them chase, another splits them, another ties them to your block. Halfway through a match the screen can fill with explosions and ricochets that neither player fully planned. Some builds are clearly unfair, like stacked damage on a single bullet or relentless seeking shots, but that unfairness flips back and forth. You spend as much time laughing at your own creation as aiming it.
Built for couch grudges and online duels
ROUNDS supports local multiplayer for side-by-side play and online multiplayer with Twitch based matchmaking for 1v1 fights. It suits short sessions with a friend, a sibling, or a willing rival, where the rematch button gets pressed immediately. There is also a face customizer for giving your fighter some personality before it gets launched across the map. Best played in short bursts: a few chaotic duels, a debate about which card is broken, then another round to settle it.
Good to know?
How does a match of ROUNDS actually work?
Two players duel in small side-view arenas using shoot, block, and jump. The player who loses a round picks a powerup card, which changes stats, blocks, or weapons. First to take enough round wins takes the match, so comebacks are built in: fall behind early and you may return with the stronger build.
What do the cards do?
Each of the 65+ powerups tweaks something: bullet size, damage, speed, bounce, seeking, extra shots, health, or block effects. Combined across rounds, they create millions of builds, from bouncy sniper shots to slow nukes that fill half the map. Picking to counter your opponent matters more than picking the biggest number.
How long is a game, and how hard is it to learn?
A full duel takes under 15 minutes, and the basics take seconds to grasp. Depth comes from movement, block timing, and reading wild builds as the arena fills with projectiles. New players can win rounds on luck and chaos alone, which keeps rematches friendly.
What modes and extras are included?
The core is 1v1, played in local multiplayer or online multiplayer with Twitch based matchmaking, across 70+ maps. A face customizer lets you dress up your round fighter with its signature noodle arms before sending it back into the fray.
