$6.99Z Frantic robot warfare, 90s style
A 90s RTS classic where nobody gathers resources: you race to grab territory, factories build your army, and the robots you command are lazy, sarcastic and hilarious. Twenty levels of frantic capture-the-flag warfare across five planets, with comedy cutscenes and a battle that changes with the music. Fast, funny and unapologetically old school.

Territory is everything
There is no base to build and no ore to mine. The map is split into sectors marked by flags, and whoever holds a flag controls what its factory produces. More flags mean faster production, so the whole game becomes a sprint: grab what you can reach before the enemy does, then keep pushing. You choose what each factory builds, from robot infantry to tanks, jeeps and missile launchers, and every sector you lose can swing the fight against you. Standing still is losing. You can also capture radar stations and repair facilities, and check the world map or radar at any time to see where the front is moving. It rewards constant aggression and quick decisions over careful turtle play.
Robots with attitude
Your soldiers are six types of robot, each with its own personality, and they do not always behave. They can perform dozens of actions with rifles, machine guns and antitank launchers, but whether they carry out your orders or chicken out and run is part of the joke. Robot leaders shout spoken alerts during battle, and the troops crack jokes and trade insults as they fight. Between missions, over thirty minutes of animated cutscenes continue the comedy, with voice overs in English, French, German, Italian or Spanish. The music even shifts in real time with the mood of the battle. The humor is the heart of the game, and it still lands.
What should you know before playing?
How many levels are there and where do they take place?
Twenty missions spread across five planets, each with its own terrain. The settings range from arctic waste to lands of fire and lava, so the maps change a lot as you go. It is a singleplayer game, and a pictorial player guide is included if you get stuck.
What vehicles and units can you command?
A fair amount of hardware: three types of tanks, jeeps, armoured personnel carriers, repair vehicles, field guns and missile launchers, plus six types of robot soldiers armed with rifles, machine guns and antitank launchers. Countering the enemy's unit choices matters, so what you build and where you send it is the real decision.
