New units and fresh firepower

Zero Hour adds a new generation of 3D units and 20 upgrades spread across the three sides. You get tools like China's ECM Tank, the GLA BattleBus, and the USA Spectre Gunship, each one changing how its army moves and hits.

You pick an army, stack the upgrades that fit it, then send tanks, buses, and gunships at the other base and watch the line bend.

Fifteen missions around the world

The expansion adds 15 missions that put you in hot spots around the globe. You root out a splinter cell in Cairo, steal deadly toxins from a U.S. lab, and work through more jobs that read like tomorrow's headlines.

Nine generals with their own tricks

The center of Zero Hour is its nine enemy commanders, three per faction, each with a distinct personality and tactics. You match your strategy and arsenal against theirs, which keeps rematches from feeling the same.

One leans on armor, another on air power, another on dirty tricks. Learning what each general favors, then bringing the right counters, is half the game. Losing to the wrong guess is the other half.

Built for skirmish and multiplayer

Past the missions, Zero Hour is a base-building RTS made for skirmish and multiplayer. You pick USA, China, or GLA, raise a base, harvest resources, and trade armies with human or AI opponents.

It plays fast and direct, with a retro look and a competitive edge. Old rivalries die hard here, usually under a particle beam.

What else should you know?

What do you actually do in a match?

You build a base, gather resources, train infantry, roll out vehicles and aircraft, and add upgrades.

How are the three armies different?

USA, China, and GLA each have their own units, upgrades, and style. Zero Hour widens that gap with new hardware like the ECM Tank, BattleBus, and Spectre Gunship. Pick the side whose trade-offs suit you, from American air power to Chinese armor to GLA ambush tactics.

What is the Generals Challenge?

It is a series of duels against nine commanders with unpredictable personalities and tactics. You choose your general, study what the enemy favors, and adapt your build. It works well as a long single-player test after the 15-mission campaign.
