$14.99Eldritch
Eldritch is a first-person roguelike where you sneak, fight and loot through shifting Lovecraftian dungeons as a scholar hunting old gods. Blocky looks, sharp tension, and runs you can finish in an evening. Death resets you, shortcuts send you deeper, and every wall might hide another way through.
Is Eldritch worth it?
Eldritch is worth it if…
- you like slow, careful dungeon crawling with stealth and scrappy fights
- you like roguelikes where each run stays short and replayable
- you like Lovecraftian monsters, tomes, and eerie libraries
- you like solving levels your own way, including through walls

Sneak, shoot, or knock down the wall
You creep past cultists, trade shots with fish-men and lizards, or skip the door entirely and blast through the wall with dynamite. Levels are built from hand-placed rooms shuffled into new layouts, so each descent feels planned yet unfamiliar. Mystical powers bend runs to your style, with invisibility, teleporting and double jumps among the tricks. Destructible voxel walls turn problem-solving physical: trapped, outnumbered, or just curious, you make your own shortcut. The blocky art keeps things readable, which makes the dread land harder when a shoggoth slides around the corner.
Short runs with sharp teeth
Death is permanent, and a careless corner can end a good run. Unlockable shortcuts let you start deeper once you have earned them, and finishing opens a harder New Game+ with alternate endings to chase. It is a compact game, easy to replay across a few evenings, with tools, weapons and artifacts that keep builds varied without burying you in menus.
What else should you know?
Who do you play as?
You play a scholar, a librarian drawn into an otherworldly library where each dusty tome opens onto a dungeon ruled by an eldritch entity. Your job is plain: descend, gather souls and relics, and find the way back out alive.
How hard is it, really?
Early rooms teach the basics gently, then lizards, statues and shoggoths punish rushing. Going slow, listening, sneaking and spending loot on the right tool for your style keeps runs fair. New Game+ and extra challenge levels wait when the base descent starts feeling comfortable.
