Four Vault Hunters built for mayhem
You choose one of four Vault Hunters, each with unique abilities, deep skill trees and plenty of personalization options. Solo they can handle the fight alone, together they are unstoppable. Leveling, abilities and gear let you shape a playstyle around close-range shotguns, elemental effects or whatever overpowered drop just landed in your hands. Movement feels fluid, with sliding and vaulting that keep you pushing from cover to cover and right into enemy faces.
Guns that misbehave in the best way
Every fight is a chance for new gear, and the variety is the point. You find firearms with self-propelling bullet shields, rifles that spawn fire-spewing volcanoes, and guns that grow legs, chase enemies and hurl verbal insults while they do it. Drops stay frequent enough that your loadout keeps changing, so you try a build for comedy one hour and for pure destruction the next. The cel-shaded look, saturated color and flashy effects keep all that chaos easy to read and fun to watch.
A cult road trip across new worlds
You hunt the fanatical Calypso Twins as they try to unite the bandit clans and claim the galaxy's ultimate power. The search takes you beyond Pandora to planets with their own environments and enemies, from hostile deserts and war-torn cityscapes to deadly bayous. You score loads of loot, take on insane enemies and save your home along the way. The tone stays loud and funny, with a soundtrack that keeps the pace high while you tear through one hostile stop after another.
Co-op that just drops you in together
You can play solo or join friends in online co-op at any time, regardless of level or mission progress. Missions, side jobs and loot runs work as a shared disaster simulator, where combined abilities turn messy fights into plans that somehow succeed. Quality-of-life touches help, like automatic ammo and currency pickup and a lost loot machine that catches gear that falls out of reach. It is easy to replay with a different Hunter and chase another round of drops.
Good to know before you start?
How does co-op work if friends are at different levels?
You can join anyone at any time with online co-op, regardless of level or mission progress. That makes it simple to drop into a friend's campaign, help with tough enemies and still earn your own loot.
What makes the guns different from other shooters?
Scale and strangeness. The game offers bazillions of guns and gadgets, including shields that propel themselves, volcano-spawning rifles and legged guns that chase enemies while insulting them. Trying the next drop is half the game.
Who are you fighting and where?
You play a thrill-seeking Vault Hunter taking on the Calypso Twins, ruthless cult leaders uniting the bandit clans. You leave Pandora for new worlds with unique places to explore, from deserts to cityscapes and bayous, each with its own enemies to destroy.
