Builds that actually change how a character fights
Every one of the ten characters has their own skills and talents, plus two different skill branches to choose between. The same fighter can be built for burst damage, support, survival or long grinding sessions, depending on what the team needs. Secret manuals and inner-heart methods push a character further along whichever path you pick.
It shows in combat. A character rebuilt around a different branch plays like a different unit, so a team is less a fixed roster and more a set of decisions you keep revising. With ten characters and two branches each, there is plenty of room to argue with yourself about the right five.
Two gear systems, one build puzzle
Random equipment has fixed main stats and randomly rolled extras, so you drop it, forge it, reroll it and mix it, chasing the pieces that fit your branch. Unique equipment works the other way: over 200 pieces with fixed stats and their own special effects, the kind that can redirect a whole build or supercharge one mechanic.
The fun is in the overlap. Anchor a build on a unique item's effect, then fill the remaining slots with rolled gear for raw numbers. Seventeen gear sets add another layer of matching. It is the classic loot-loop pleasure: one more drop might be the piece that makes the whole team click.
