Cultivate while you are away
Your job is to decide what to do with it: upgrade equipment, invest resources, push to the next stage. Early on the upgrades come fast and often, and each one visibly moves your power forward. It suits short sessions or background play, and the pace stays steady rather than punishing.
Beasts, bosses and immortal arts
Your main enemies are drawn from the Shanhaijing, the classic Chinese collection of myths, so you fight a long line of strange beasts. Bosses come in several kinds: personal, multiplayer, world and team bosses, with higher tiers unlocking as your level rises. Killing them drops rare items and better gear. On top of that sits the Haotian Mirror, the artifact that started your journey; upgrading it is the central goal, since each level brings stronger equipment from boss kills. You also collect more than ten immortal arts, from attacks to healing to buffs, and equip up to six at once, mixing your own combination for the fight ahead.
What can you do besides fighting?
What can you do besides fighting?
Quite a lot. You can marry a cultivation partner, which unlocks dual cultivation, couple trials, keepsakes and wedding rings, and you can raise children who eventually fight alongside you. From the mid-game on, you run your own cave abode, a management side that supplies the resources your cultivation needs. Later you can join a sect and earn benefits through contributions, collect mounts and spirit pets, and in the late game channel an immortal general for a short burst of overwhelming power.
How much time does it take each day?
As little as you like, at first. Because your character fights and gathers resources automatically, even offline, a short check-in to collect rewards and spend them on upgrades is enough to keep moving. The story stages unlock new systems as you go, so there is always something to look at when you log in. If you want to chase the top of the PvP ladder or the highest boss tiers, that is where the bigger time investment, and the spending question, comes in.
