$11.99风信楼
A brothel in the capital is only a cover. Behind it you train performers, gather coin and secrets, build connections, and wait for the moment to help topple a rotten emperor. A story-rich raising sim with 173 endings, one loyal heart per playthrough, and choices that decide who survives the fall.
Is 风信楼 worth it?
风信楼 is worth it if…
- you like visual novels where a single choice can reroute ten years of story
- you enjoy raising characters through events and watching them grow into their own endings
- you want romance that commits to one person per run instead of a harem
- you have the patience for a second playthrough to reach the routes the first one hid
- you read Simplified Chinese, since that is the only language it supports right now

Run a front, plan a coup
The emperor has misruled the country and enemies stir everywhere. Your job is quieter: turn the Fengxin House into a thriving business while it hides your real work. You train your people, manage the money, collect intelligence and cultivate the connections a rebellion needs. Every year spent building is a year the throne grows weaker, and the whole game bends toward one decision: when the moment for the coup has come, and whether you seize it. Ten hours or so carry a first playthrough to an ending; which ending is entirely in your hands.
One heart, one route
This is a 1v1 romance, stated plainly from the start: no harem, and one love per playthrough. The people you raise at the house are written as full characters with their own principles, wounds and stories, and dozens of events follow each of them as they grow. Some routes are tender, some cut deep; the game is emotional and dark enough that a happy ending is never guaranteed. On later runs, the person you did not choose goes on to her own life without you, and the game shows you what that life looks like.
A visual novel that rewards rereading
If you are here for text, there is plenty of it: well over a million characters of script, more than 1,400 choice sets, and 746 or so character events, told first-person over hand-drawn art. The story carries everything, and it is written to be replayed: 173 proper endings plus extras, and 278 endings for the people you never courted. A built-in guide with hints for key triggers helps you find the branches, and a gallery lets you replay every ending you have seen. Fair warning: the main plot repeats across playthroughs, and new routes come from finding the right choices, not from new story each time.
Questions before you start?
Can you play it without grinding?
Mostly, yes. There is an invincible mode that lowers the management difficulty so you can focus on the story, and a built-in console that lets you adjust stats, revisit missed events or change parameters before the final turn. The game is generous about letting you fix a run instead of restarting it.
How long is one playthrough?
A first run to an ending takes about ten hours. The story spans ten in-game years of running the house, and the ending you reach depends on choices made across all of them. Replays go faster once you know the flow, though the main plot repeats between runs.
Is the romance forced on you?
No. Courting someone is optional. The people you never romance still get their own endings, more than 270 of them, and the game follows what happens to them after your story with the house ends. You can play a run for the intrigue alone and leave love out of it.
