Mixing elements into working spells
You start each order with a blank scroll and build the magic yourself. Place elements and attributes on the parchment, layer shapes, and drag finished circles together to fuse them into higher-stage spells. With over 30 combinations to find, from blazing fire to gardens of blooming flowers, much of the work is trial and error: try a mix, check what it makes, remember it for the next letter. Neatness is your own standard.
Filling orders to pay down the debt
Each day brings letters with specific needs: lessons for magical education, supplies for ancient ruins, and stranger, more secretive requests. You read what each customer wants, craft the matching scroll, roll the parchment, and send it off by owl to earn tokens. That money goes toward growing loan payments, with interest if you fall behind, across about two weeks of orders. Four special customers — an adventurer, a bard, an explorer, and a dwarf — return with harder requests that slowly reveal their stories.
Good to know before you start?
How long is a full run?
Short enough for a few relaxed evenings. The debt story runs about two weeks of in-game days, and the pace stays easy throughout. There is no endless mode, so replay value comes from revisiting the crafting itself or chasing missed combinations.
How hard are the orders to solve?
Mostly gentle. Regular requests reuse familiar effects, and an in-game guide lets you check your discoveries. A few letters are worded vaguely on purpose, so expect some guessing before the logic clicks around the end of the first week.
Do you manage anything besides the loan?
No. Ink, parchment, postage, rent, and food are not tracked. The only expense is the student loan, so you can focus on reading orders and drawing circles without balancing a budget.
Can you make scrolls look your own way?
Yes, within limits. You choose how to arrange shapes on the page, whether intricate or efficient, and finished spells look colorful and distinct. You cannot rotate shapes, which keeps some complex designs out of reach.
