Brewing potions that do not taste awful
Your day starts at the cauldron. You pick ingredients for their A-to-E magimins, stack them toward a recipe, and hope the taste and aroma land somewhere a customer will pay for. Push too far and you get something gross. Get it right and even a basic health potion turns valuable.
You send hired heroes out with the right tonics and cures to bring back rarer ingredients, then reinvest in shelves, decor, and extra cauldrons. Decor is not just pretty. The right setup lifts prices and potion quality. It is the classic shop loop: make, sell, upgrade, make better.
Haggling as a card game
Selling is a duel. Befriend Rafta's vendors and adventurers and they teach you stronger tactics, so chatting people up is a business strategy.
Then come the competitions against rival sellers, where good stock and a sharp deck decide who runs the best potion shop in town. You drop a new shelf in the corner, hang the right trinket, and watch customers pay more for the same bottle. Debt has rarely looked this cute.
Good to know before you open shop?
What is the actual goal?
Keep Sylvia's inherited shop afloat, pay down the debt, and outsell rival merchants to become Rafta's top potion destination. Story contests set the pace, so plan brews and sales around them.
How do friendships help the business?
Time spent with vendors and adventurers unlocks new haggling cards and support, from ingredient runs to better brewing options. Romance is possible with several characters, and it feeds back into the shop.
Can you make the shop your own?
Yes. You choose decor and layout, add shelves and cauldrons, and age or enhance potions for extra value. Styling choices change prices and quality, not just looks.
