Survive, scavenge, escape
A catastrophe has hit, your aircraft is down, and the only way out is through. You land in the Zed Zone with nothing, so the first hours are about the basics: search buildings for supplies, keep yourself fed and warm, and stay away from anything that growls. The zone is an open world you can pick apart piece by piece, and every ruin, warehouse and supermarket might hold what you need. The goal is simple and stubborn: gather materials, upgrade your skills, build shelters, and defeat the zombie hordes and mysterious mechs standing between you and a glimmer of hope. It gets tense fast, and it stays tense.
Build a stronghold worth defending
A shelter is not just walls. You start with wells, furniture and storage, then work up to furnaces and workbenches until your base produces its own supplies. Then comes the electricity: generators, refrigerators, electric fences and energy storage, more than ten facilities and tools to bring the power grid back from the dead. And since survival gets tougher by the day, you will want defenses before night falls. Spike traps and landmines keep the doorstep dangerous, and once the lights are on, machine gun, Tesla, laser and crossbow turrets do the watching for you. You drop a landmine by the gate, the horde pours in at dusk, and the night solves itself.
Guns, skills and a very good dog
There are over 200 craftable items, from food and medicine to gunpowder made in chemistry experiments best handled carefully. Firearms take four attachment slots each, with more than 40 attachments from night vision scopes to suppressed barrels, plus spray paints and decals to make your favorite rifle look exactly how you want. Your build is yours too: over 20 progression paths and 60+ skills across melee, firearms and fitness, unlocked through your PDA Terminal, which can also lend active combat support like a grapple or a focused laser cannon. And the apocalypse gave you a dog. Feed it, treat its wounds, gear it up with collars and saddlebags, and it will help explore, keep watch and fight. Early on, you might lean on it more than you expect.
Hire help, loot everything
One pair of hands is never enough in a sandbox this size, so the game lets you hire mercenaries: rangers to fight at the front, medics to keep everyone standing, porters to haul your loot home. You command them directly, telling them to hold fire, protect you or open up, and if someone goes down you can patch them up and get them back in the fight. Scavenging works the same way: send a whole squad out to strip an area bare while you work on something else. It turns long, risky supply runs into planned expeditions, and it suits players who like organizing a small operation rather than doing every errand alone.
