Five minutes, then it's over
Every run starts with the same deal: five minutes on the clock, and death when it hits zero. Killing things earns souls, and souls are currency for everything. Shoot the floor to heal mid-fight, open a portal back to base, or fire them at Timmee, who tops your timer back up. There is also a time room where souls buy extra minutes or a pull on the slot machine for a random card.
So every kill is a small decision: spend now or save for a bigger swing later. A run can stretch past five minutes with rare items, and chasing one of those god-tier runs is the whole point. Average sessions run longer than the premise suggests, but the pressure never really lifts.
Builds from weapons, gadgets and your own playlist
Thirteen weapons and ten gadgets, from a fan to a bomb gun, plus over 140 stackable items and more than 100 stage variants to purge through. Cards from the slots can be traded up for bigger upgrades, and gadgets slot into builds in different ways, so two runs rarely play the same.
The strangest mechanic is also the best joke: thirteen soundtrack cassettes each change your run, and you can import your own music files to generate a custom cassette with randomized stats. Your playlist is literally a build choice. Add a sandbox editor for custom levels and leaderboards for every objective, and there is a lot to chase.
