Loot the colony, fight to extraction
You move through dark sci-fi maps hunting valuables, loot, and intel on the lost colony. Rival players want the same rooms you do, and enemy forces patrol between you and the exit.
Take gear off defeated players and enemies, complete contracts for rewards, and then make the call: push for more or fight your way out. Exfil successfully and the haul goes into your vault. Lose, and it stays on Tau Ceti IV.
Pick a Runner, shape the build
You choose a Runner shell that fits how you like to play, each with its own abilities. Then you tune it with moddable weapons and customizable abilities.
Builds run from stealthy infiltrators to frontline bruisers and support specialists. You decide if you slip past patrols, hold the line in a straight fight, or keep your crew standing while they do the shooting.
Alliances that can break mid-run
You can crew up in groups of two or three, or take on Tau Ceti alone.
Out in the zone, cautious alliances sit on a knife's edge. That choice, made with a full backpack, keeps runs fast-paced and competitive.
Seasons, ranked play, and the Cryo Archive
Ranked mode lets you climb the ladder as a top Runner.
Then there is the Cryo Archive, with raid-like challenges, layered puzzles, and rival crews chasing the same top-tier loot. It is the hard end of the game: bring a plan, expect company.
What should you know before dropping in?
How does a run actually work?
You enter a map on Tau Ceti IV alone or with a crew, scour dangerous locations for valuables and intel, and grab gear off players and enemies you defeat. Contracts give you extra goals and rewards along the way. Then you fight to extraction: get out and your loot fills your vault, go down and it is gone.
What is different about the Runners?
Each Runner shell has its own abilities, so your pick changes how a run feels. Add moddable weapons and customizable abilities, and you can build a stealthy infiltrator, a frontline bruiser, or a support specialist. It is about matching the shell and loadout to the job you want to do.
Can I team up, play alone, or trust strangers?
You can crew up in twos or threes or go alone, including as Rook, the scavenger who risks only what is found in-run. Strangers are a gamble: form a cautious alliance when it helps, or break it when the loot is worth more than the deal. Expect that same math from everyone else.
What is there beyond regular runs?
Across the season you upgrade your loadout, risk better loot for stronger rewards, and test yourself in Ranked mode. The Cryo Archive adds raid-like challenges and layered puzzles contested by rival crews, with top-tier loot for teams that crack it and get out.
