$24.99Hell Pie Swing a chained angel through hell
A fast, filthy 3D platformer where every jump, swing and fight is powered by gross-out jokes and cartoon chaos.
Is Hell Pie worth it?
Hell Pie is worth it if…
- you like 3D platformers with real momentum and a grappling hook you can throw anywhere
- you grew up on mascot collectathons and want a cruder take on the formula
- you enjoy crude, absurd humor and a world that refuses to behave
- you want a low-pressure game where dying barely matters and collecting is the point

Swing your angel around
Nugget is an angel, and Nate keeps him on a chain. Throw him at a ledge and he becomes a grappling hook; swing him at an enemy and he becomes a weapon; let him hover nearby and he offers holy guidance when you need it. The movement is the heart of the game: once the swinging clicks, you fly across levels with real momentum, and later upgrades let you stay airborne long enough to skip platforms entirely. Players agree the traversal feels fast and smooth, and it is the reason to keep playing. You can also find horns across the worlds and equip them at altars for new hellish abilities that open paths you could not reach before.
A cute world with filthy jokes
The look is bright, cartoony and genuinely adorable: Nate is a chubby little demon, Nugget a plump cherub, and the four big worlds are colorful and weird. Then you read the signs. Hell has blood dispensers, repugnant characters, shocking sights and a necrophiliac duck or two, and the game commits to all of it with total confidence. The crude humor is part of the fun for many, though it divides people: some find it hilarious, others feel the gross-out gags wear thin. The same goes for difficulty. This is a relaxed ride by platformer standards, enemies go down in one hit, and dying costs you a few coins. Come for the swinging and the collecting more than the challenge.
What do you actually do in the game?
Can you play it solo?
Yes, it is a singleplayer game. Nugget is your companion, but he is an AI pet chained to your horns, not a second player: you throw him, swing from him and equip him with skills yourself.
How long is it?
A straightforward run is fairly short, but the game rewards poking around. Collecting almost everything takes well over ten hours, and the strong aerial movement makes it a natural fit for speedrunning if you would rather be done in an afternoon.
Is it really as obscene as it sounds?
It is crude, violent and full of dark humor, with some sights that are not for everyone, so it is not a game for kids despite the cute look. That said, some players find it tamer than the advertising suggests: the shock value is front-loaded, and the platforming carries the game more than the filth does.
