$19.99Hell Clock Every second counts
An action RPG with roguelike runs, set in a dark fantasy retelling of Brazil's War of Canudos. The clock ticks, the loot piles up, and one more run is always tempting.
Is Hell Clock worth it?
Hell Clock is worth it if…
- you want an action RPG with real builds but without an endless grind
- you like runs short enough for one more go before bed
- you enjoy a ticking clock that makes every floor a risk-reward call
- you care about story and setting as much as loot
- you would rather turn the timer off entirely and dig for gear at your own pace

A war history tried to bury
In the 1890s, Canudos was a refuge for thousands in the Brazilian backlands. When its people defied the new Republic, retaliation left 25,000 dead. Hell Clock takes that tragedy and turns it into dark fantasy: you play Pajeú, a warrior descending again and again to rescue the soul of The Counselor, his fallen mentor, from the forces that took his head. The dead you fight are the undead of the oppressors, and the story unfolds across a full three-act campaign. Brazilian players note how much care goes into the setting, from the voice acting by actors from the region to a soundtrack that carries the weight of the place. It plays like an action RPG, but it has something to say.
Builds that melt the screen
The loot is the point. Relics come with wildly different effects, some just add damage, others change how a skill works entirely, and you can Imbue them with Tools for extra power or Corrupt them for a gamble: blessing or bane, equal odds. On top of that sit Blessings picked during runs, which evolve your build as you go. Knife strikes that cut through hordes, a great bell you slam down on everything nearby, a rapid-fire sidearm: the abilities are distinct enough that rebuilding from scratch several times is part of the fun. One run you are a lightning-fanged melee blur, the next a crit-stacked marksman deleting bosses before they finish their first attack.
