$3.99Drillbound
Drillbound is a short incremental mining game about drilling to the planet's core. Your drill rides a rail and fires on its own, so you slide it into place, grab resources, dodge projectiles, and pour everything into upgrades until the rock starts giving way.

Slide, shoot, and dodge on the rail
Your drill moves side to side on a rail and fires automatically every few seconds. You line it up with rock and resources below while keeping clear of projectiles, and falling blocks push down toward you. Deeper layers get wider, tougher, and more aggressive, with bosses waiting along the way. It is simple to run with a mouse, relaxed in pace, and best played with half an eye on something else. The slow opening picks up once upgrades stack and your drill starts chewing through stone that used to stop it cold.
A skill tree that turns rock into momentum
Everything you crush becomes material for upgrades. The skill tree covers the drill itself plus new machines and passives, including extra constructs, special attacks, and movement tweaks that change how fast you clear a layer. Progress snowballs: stronger gear earns resources faster, which buys deeper descents. The late game is a highlight, when numbers jump and effects fill the screen. The start is slow, so expect the first stretch to feel like paperwork before the promotion.
Good to know about Drillbound?
How do you actually mine?
You slide the drill along its rail to line up shots, since it fires by itself. You collect what breaks loose, avoid projectiles, and keep blocks from pressing down on you. Later depths add harder rock and enemies that shoot back, so positioning matters more the deeper you go.
What do upgrades change?
They make the drill hit harder, move better, and clear rock faster, while machines and passives add new ways to break layers. Some plain-sounding picks make a large difference, so spreading points across branches can unlock a sudden jump in power. Refining gathered ore into usable material funds the next round of improvements.
How long does it take to reach the core?
It is a compact game, built to be finished in one short run of sessions rather than weeks of grinding. If you get stuck on a depth, staying put and mining a while raises your income enough to afford the next step. The ending arrives without much ceremony, so treat the climb itself as the point.
