A car that refuses to stay on the road
The track is not a loop of asphalt. It is an obstacle course with saws, lasers and gaps, and your car can jump, rotate in midair and fly. Drive up buildings, along walls, upside down, then take off entirely to hunt for a shortcut the road never offered. The goal is not laps: it is reaching the end of a treacherous course in the quickest time you can manage, at speed, with the city blurring past. Once the controls click, the tricks start to feel less like driving and more like parkour with wheels.
A city with a story to tell
The Adventure mode sends you alone into the heart of a dark, mysterious city, chasing an ominous threat. It is short, and it leans on atmosphere: neon light, a synth soundtrack from the composer behind Nitronic Rush, and a story told through the environment and intercom voices rather than cutscenes. There is even a touch of horror in there. Expect some trial and error along the way, since a few obstacles reveal what they want from you only after a crash or two. The mood is what carries it.
Couches, lobbies and twelve-car chaos
This is a racing game built for company. Online multiplayer seats up to 12 players, and split-screen takes 2 to 4 on one screen, in modes like Sprint, Reverse Tag and Stunt. Reverse Tag turns speed into a hunt, Stunt turns the physics into a competition, and Sprint is exactly what it sounds like at 200 miles per hour. It is easy to get a lobby going and hard to stop after one more round, especially when someone misjudges a wall and the whole race goes sideways.
