Heavy fights where stamina decides everything
You advance room by room with sword, spellbook, bow, or mace, watching a thin stamina bar. Attack, block, or roll, then wait for it to refill before you leave yourself open. Enemies telegraph clearly, so survival comes down to timing and patience rather than speed.
Bosses are a highlight. Each has its own attack patterns to learn, and beating one feels earned because you had to study it first. Death sends you back to the start of the run, so every fight asks if you push on hurt or turn back while you still can.
A cursed temple that blesses and sickens you
Your God watches. Brave acts can earn blessings that raise stats or add effects, while cowardice, wounds, and despair bring curses and illnesses that bleed you, weaken you, or take your teleport stone when you least want it. You cure them with looted items or learn to live with them.
Faith works the same way. You collect it from fallen enemies and spend it to open secret paths and special chests. Nothing lasts forever down here, so spend it before the Temple spends you.
Four worlds with no way back
The Temple spans four distinct worlds of grey stone, ladders, flat platforms, and obvious cracked walls. Each world splits into several interconnected paths, and drops are one-way. You pick a route knowing there is no turning back.
That makes exploration tense. Every chest holds another piece of the story, a letter, a weapon, a clue, and picking up gear teaches the smith at Filthblood Shelter to remake it. Bring the right tool for hidden roots and heavy seals, or that side room stays shut for this run.
What else should you know?
How does gear and progression work?
You find dozens of weapons, armors, and relics, each with its own stats, plus mystical runes to customize them. Match your loadout to the enemy ahead. Some finds unlock as permanent options with the smith, while your best run-only gear stays with that run.
Can you save in the middle of a run?
Salvation is fleeting. The Temple may reveal a hidden altar where you can save your story if you honor it appropriately. Or it may not. Plan for long stretches between safe points.
Is the map fixed or random?
Rooms, chests, and enemies stay in place. What changes is what drops and whether stronger elites appear, so knowledge carries over even when loot does not.
