Three corpses against the cathedral
You take three dead fighters into seven grim areas, hunting resources and gear before time runs out. Combat is one-on-one swordplay with dashes, skills, parries, dodges, and rolls, so you watch each enemy and pick your answer. Your goal stays fixed: push deeper, grow stronger from flesh and bone, and kill the demon waiting at the far end. Losing a run stings, but the next squad is already waiting to be built.
Everything you love rots
Your warriors are corpses held together with black magic, and every outing raises their decay. Hit 100% and that fighter collapses for good. Decay never reverses, though preservatives slow its climb, so you plan lineups before each run. You replace the fallen by building new corpses from defeated enemies, and dozens of bodies each fight with their own attack actions. Getting attached is allowed. Keeping them is not.
Scraps, gear, and bad bargains
You gather flesh, bone, and equipment across each expedition, but you cannot carry it all. Spend on repairs, new bodies, or the push deeper, and live with the pick. Gear boosts stats and grants specialties that reward matching your lineup, the enemy, and the area. The mood stays solemn and gothic throughout.
Good to know before you rot?
How does the squad work?
You lead three corpses at a time, chosen from dozens of playable bodies with their own attack actions. You fight one duel at a time, then swap and rebuild the roster between runs as decay takes its toll.
What does decay actually do?
Each exploration raises a body's decay, and at 100% it collapses. The rise is irreversible, but preservatives reduce how fast it climbs, so team selection and repair timing matter as much as swordplay.
Where do new fighters come from?
From the enemies you beat. You use their flesh and bones to build fresh corpses, which keeps every run shifting. Expect to adapt to new moves and specialties rather than perfecting one lineup.
What are you working toward?
Exploring seven areas, managing resources and equipment, and reaching the demon in the deep end of the cathedral to hunt its soul, all within limited time.
