Five minigames that refuse to stay the same
Everything in Cauldron runs on resources, and resources come from minigames. Catch apples under a tree, dig through a tile-based mine, fish, smash ice, survive a horde. Each one has its own upgrades and its own twists, and several of them change shape as you go: the apple catching turns into a bullet hell shooter, the mining game picks up new rules partway through, and upgrades can rewrite how a game works entirely. Your top scores set how much a minigame earns while you are away, so a better run keeps paying out later. If one game is not for you, unlock the option to let it play itself and spend your time on the ones you like.
A party of heroes, built your way
Nyx, a young witch, arrives in a darkness-covered world, and she does not stay alone: more than twenty heroes can join, each with a unique skill tree. You gather resources, buy skill points, arrange your party and tune their abilities for turn-based battles against monsters. Clearing enemies opens up more of the map, which means new characters, new minigames and more upgrades. If micromanaging every fight sounds like work, define behaviours for your party outside of combat and let the autobattler handle it. Along the way there are character skits, a snarky pink sidekick who never leaves your side, and talking birds, in a cute pixel-art world with a retro soundtrack.
