Explore the wilds of Talos-II
You land on a planet that is only partly settled. The Civilization Band holds after 150 years of work, but most of Talos-II is still peaks, waterways, and empty land stretching to the horizon.
Your job is to push into it: scout new ground, neutralize Ankhor threats, purify the Blight, and raise AIC construction that brings some order back. It is exploration with a purpose, where every cleared crisis makes the next outpost possible. Expect an anime-styled 3D world that is cute in places, rough in others, and always bigger than what you have built so far.
Fight with your whole squad beside you
You take a team of four operators into battle and move them freely across shifting ground, chaining skills to break enemy defenses. No tagging one fighter in while the rest wait on the bench.
The operators have distinct personalities and travel with you rather than just filling slots. You pick the mix, set up the combinations, and test both planning and reflexes when a fight turns messy. Team-building matters here, and a well-matched squad clearing a boss with back-to-back skills is a highlight.
Build factories that do the heavy lifting
Take over Endfield Industries facilities and lay out your own automated production lines, from raw resources to the gear that powers exploration and combat. Building from scratch is the point, and tweaking a layout until it runs clean has its own quiet satisfaction.
Not in the mood for spreadsheets with smokestacks? You can copy production layouts shared by other players and plug them in, then get back to fighting and exploring. Either way, your industrial base keeps working while you are out in the wilds, which is more than can be said for most homework.
Rebuild a home after a long sleep
You wake from a long slumber with faded memories and a clear job title: Endministrator. With your operators at your side, you work to give humanity a new homeland on Talos-II and relight that old flame of civilization.
It is a story-rich setup full of lore, past wars, disasters, and new threats stirring at the edges. The tone stays hopeful rather than grim, about people building something together instead of just surviving. Short on time? Daily tasks are quick to clear, so the story and your factories wait for you rather than the other way round.
What else should you know?
Do I have to learn factory automation to progress?
Yes, factories matter: your AIC production supplies exploration and combat. You can design your own efficient lines or copy layouts shared by other players and just connect them. Once a line runs well, it keeps producing with little upkeep until new needs appear.
How does squad combat work?
You lead four operators in real-time third-person fights, moving them around the field and chaining their skills to break defenses. Success comes from team makeup and timing your combinations, with exploration and factory output deciding how well geared that team is.
Do I need to know Arknights to follow the story?
No. You start fresh as the Endministrator waking on Talos-II, meeting new operators and learning about the Civilization Band, the wildlands, and the Blight as you go. Old fans will spot connections, but the plot about rebuilding a homeland stands on its own.
