A branching story you can die in without fear
This is a visual novel shot with real actors, built on choices. Pick a line of dialogue, decide where to spend your evening, and the story splits. The twist: a bad choice does not end your run, it kills you, and time rewinds. So the usual visual novel anxiety is gone. There is no wrong answer to agonize over, because death is just part of the story. Take the reckless option. Say the stupid thing. If it goes badly, you go back and try another way, and the branching plot keeps opening routes you had not seen yet.
Rewind time, keep the memories
The time-rewind system is the heart of the game, and it is more than a load button. Each rewind carries your memories forward, so you return to an earlier point knowing everything you learned on the failed path. That changes how you play: you can mention a worry a girlfriend told you in a timeline that no longer exists, or steer around a misunderstanding you have already watched turn deadly. Fixing a disaster you personally caused, one careful conversation at a time, is the best feeling the game has.
Six women, six very different lives
Your six girlfriends are a varied bunch: a childhood friend who has cried over you before, a gentle girl from a poor mountain village, a Japanese conglomerate heiress, twin sisters (one a surgeon, one a game streamer), and a movie star loved by millions who turns soft with you. Each has her own route and her own idea of what happiness with you looks like. The twins are a highlight, played by one actress as two genuinely different people. Keeping all six relationships afloat at once is the balancing act the whole game hangs on.
You are the protagonist, literally
The game goes further than most first-person FMV titles to put you in the role. Nobody calls you by a character's name: the girls address you, the player. You can upload your own photo to the protagonist's chat profile, and even turn off his voice lines to read the subtitles and answer the women yourself. A microphone unlocks voice-controlled moments, and the QTEs use keyboard and mouse to mimic the protagonist's physical reactions. Fail one and there is a written scene for that too, so fumbling never dead-ends the story.
What should you know before playing?
How long is the game and how do the endings work?
Most runs land in the five to ten hour range, and the story is a five-act drama with dozens of endings but only one true one. The happy endings for each woman are steps toward it: reach them all and a final route opens. Full completion is reasonably friendly, since the story tree shows which scenes you have not seen yet.
Do you need a microphone or special hardware?
No. Keyboard and mouse cover everything, including the QTEs. A microphone adds some voice-controlled moments and a webcam-style photo upload personalizes your chat profile, but both are extras. The videos are high bitrate and support 4K, so make sure you have the disk space before downloading.
Is it polished?
Honestly, not everywhere. The interface can be clunky, with menus that take an extra click and occasional rough transitions between scenes. The story, the acting from the six leads and the rewind mechanic are what carry it, so go in for those rather than for slick presentation.
