Is 大千世界 worth it?
大千世界 is worth it if…
- you like open worlds where the main quest waits politely while you go fishing, crafting or treasure hunting
- you enjoy old-school turn-based RPGs with classes you invent yourself
- you want a game full of jokes, memes and things that make no sense on purpose
- you do not mind a slow grind in exchange for a world that keeps giving

A world that refuses to behave
After a great calamity, you wake up somewhere that is not your old world, and it shows. One villager casts Western fireballs, the next practices Taoist arts, and the local cuisine is not what any cookbook would call food. The pixel art is cartoony and retro in the best way, and the soundtrack is good enough that you will actually leave it on. Quests bend around your choices: the same task can be solved in several ways, and the world changes with each decision. You can be upright and noble or thoroughly rotten, and the game does not judge. It just reacts.
Build your own character, from nothing
There are no classes. What your character becomes is entirely up to how you mix skills, gear and professions. Join one of the sects and learn its secret techniques, or stay a lone adventurer and answer to no one. On the side you can pick up crafts like blacksmithing, tailoring, leatherworking, enchanting, alchemy, engineering, talisman-making, poison brewing, gu crafting and cooking, so a quiet afternoon of forging beats grinding. Equipment is the deep end: thousands of items, each designed on purpose rather than rolled from random enchantments. The catch, and it is a real one: leveling takes patience, and rare drops can take a long grind.
