An open knight-age map to wander
You wake as Jerry Hughes in the wild with no memory, pull a hunted boy out of trouble, and walk back toward Yir Town while the kingdom reels from a murdered king and a missing heir. From there the map opens up, with no set path holding you back.
Birds lift off as you get close, seasons turn wind and rain over the fields, and friendship opens hidden scenes and items if you put in the time.
A party that wins or loses together
One strong fighter is not enough here. Victory comes from the average strength of the whole legion, so you train the group, set formations against different enemies, and pair skills to raise their power and change how they play.
You learn skills and have masters improve them, forge weapons, strengthen them and slot in the gems you like. Horses carry you over land, while dragons and giant birds cross terrain by air. The work is slow and careful, and small monsters can still flatten you if the formation and skill mix is wrong.
What else should you know?
How does fighting work?
Battles are turn-based and tactical, fought with a party rather than a single hero. You arrange formations, match skills together for stronger effects, and raise the average power of the legion to take down tougher enemies.
What can you build outside battle?
You forge weapons, strengthen them, socket gems, learn skills and have them upgraded, befriend people for hidden plots and items, and raise mounts from horses to flying dragons and giant birds.
