Coldwake

Coldwake is a text-driven mystery set in the icy aftermath of a global collapse. Armed with nothing but an old terminal and your curiosity, you’ll dig through corrupted logs, hidden directories, and fragmented memories buried in a forgotten facility. Every command you type is a key—one that might unlock a lost file, a piece of a shattered mind, or a chilling secret about what really happened beneath the snow.

Coldwake is heavily based on reading. The story unfolds entirely through written logs, system messages, journal entries, and memory fragments. You won’t just read the story—you’ll reconstruct it.

Your main tool is the terminal.

Type commands to uncover files and unlock hidden content.

Navigate a retro-futuristic OS. Every file tells a piece of the story. Some lie. Some beg to be found.

Investigate logs, system errors, and encrypted messages to piece together what happened.

Solve narrative puzzles by noticing details, keywords, and terminal responses.

Recover the fragments of a lost consciousness scattered across a dying system.

Coldwake blends interactive fiction, emotional sci-fi, and immersive investigation. It’s quiet, nonlinear, and rewards players who read carefully, think deeply, and follow the threads others might miss.
