- you want a game to grind and improve at over weeks, not one sitting

Build a hangar that plays your way
Over 50 robots, each with its own design and abilities, and hundreds of weapon combinations on top. Ballistic missiles, plasma cannons, giant shotguns: what you mount decides what you are. A shotgun brawler lives a different life than a long-range sniper.
Every robot takes weapons and modules of your choice, so two people in the same chassis can be unrecognizable. You can stack speed and cross the map before anyone reacts, pile on armor and refuse to leave the enemy's point, or go all in on damage and hit like a glass cannon. Find a combo, tune it, and take it into battle.
Six against six, together or alone
The core of War Robots is the 6v6 team match: you bring a hangar of machines, fight over objectives, and when one robot goes down, the next one rolls out. Losing a mech stings less when you have more waiting, and a well-timed swap can turn a fight.
If you'd rather not go it alone, clans let you find steady teammates or start your own crew. Prefer your own company?
What should you know before playing?
How long is a match?
Short. A typical battle runs about ten minutes, which makes the game easy to play in bursts: one match between other things, or a whole evening of them. Since you bring several robots into each fight, even a losing round gives every machine in your hangar a turn.
Do you need a fast internet connection?
You need a stable one. War Robots is an online-only game, so a shaky connection will hurt you more than a slow trigger finger. On a solid connection, matches run smoothly and the fast, twitchy combat works as intended.
Is it hard for a new player?
The controls are simple and you'll be shooting within minutes, but the early stretch is the toughest part. Your first robots are modest, and experienced players with upgraded hangars can end your run quickly. Stick to mid and long range weapons early, play behind cover, and lean on the community: the game has been around long enough that help is easy to find.
