Is Virtual Pool 4 Multiplayer worth it?
Virtual Pool 4 Multiplayer is worth it if…
- you want pool with honest physics instead of aim-assist lines
- you miss playing a proper frame of snooker or 8-Ball with friends online
- you like competition with structure: brackets, rankings and wagered matches
- you want to sharpen your real-life cue game between trips to the table

This is the multiplayer side of Virtual Pool 4, built around meeting people rather than playing alone. You log in, land in a lobby where players chat and list their tables, and join a game in a couple of clicks. Rooms need at least three players unless you pay for a private one, so a one-on-one with a friend means either a small entry fee or a third person holding the cue. It suits the mood of a shared session: low pressure, easy to set up, and the kind of game you can talk over while you play.
Physics you can trust
The series is known for it, and this entry keeps the reputation: balls behave like balls. Spin, cushion angles and table speed all matter, and there are no tracking lines to aim for you. If you know how to put english on a cue ball in real life, that knowledge transfers here. The tables are adjustable too, with pocket size, table speed, skid and rail behaviour all settable, so you can tune a table to match the one you know. Several long-time players call this the most faithful cue-sport simulation they have found, and some say playing it genuinely improves their real-table game.
Tournaments, rankings and a little money on the line
Beyond casual matches there is a proper competitive structure. Online tournaments run on single and double elimination, with or without handicaps, as singles or teams, and there is a calendar of events so you know what is coming. Premium players get V$, the in-game currency, which buys cue sticks, covers tournament entry and funds match wagering, and tournaments pay V$ to high finishers. Your profile tracks statistics, awards and rankings, and you can upload shots to study or show off. The lobby itself is a friendly place, and the hourly tournaments give every session a reason to stay for one more bracket.
What can you play without paying?
How many games are there?
27 in total, covering pool, snooker and billiards. That includes 8-Ball, 9-Ball, Pub Pool, and carom games like Three Cushion and One Cushion Billiards, each on tables with their own look and feel.
Can you play it solo?
Not in this version. This is the multiplayer release, so it is built around the online lobby and other players. The offline version of Virtual Pool 4, sold separately, is the one with single-player careers.
