Free to playOLDTV
You are a gifted kid flipping through every channel on the planet, and every channel is the same cruel quiz: does the word match the color it is written in. Simple, fast, and mean in the best way, with a great soundtrack pushing you to think twice in under a second.
Is OLDTV worth it?
OLDTV is worth it if…
- you like fast, simple puzzle games that test reaction speed
- you enjoy retro static, glitch effects, and a strong soundtrack

Match the color, not the word
The whole trick is the Stroop test. The screen shows a color name printed in a possibly different color, and you click yes or no on whether they match. Reading is automatic, which is exactly the problem.
It starts easy, then time shrinks, glitches roll in, the picture mirrors or smears, and the controls turn on you. You stare at the word RED printed in blue and your finger picks wrong before your brain catches up. Short rounds make it perfect for one more go.
An old TV that fights back
Everything happens on a flickering retro set full of static, flashing colors, psychedelic interference, and channel-hopping weirdness. Tasks change as you play, including tuning the connection and sitting still when the game tells you to do nothing, which is harder than it sounds.
The soundtrack is a highlight, driving and well suited to the rising panic.
Good to know?
How hard is it, really?
The rules take seconds to learn: match color to word, answer fast. The difficulty is mental. As the timer tightens and distractions pile on, even obvious answers start slipping. It rewards calm focus and quick eyes more than gaming skill.
How long is a session?
Built for short bursts. Rounds are quick and the pace keeps rising, so it works well as a coffee-break brain workout. Playing for hours in one sitting can feel repetitive, since every twist is still the same color-matching test.
