Builds that change everything
Every run starts with three choices: a weapon, a shield, a body. They are not stat sticks, they decide what kind of ship you are flying. Pick the Leviathan and you grow into an ever-longer serpent that shreds enemies with its body. Pick the Carrier and you command a swarm of constructs. The Thermal Lance burns targets until they take extra damage; the Warp shield teleports you when it breaks, blasting on the way in and out. From there, dozens of upgrades stack and interact, so a build goes from idea to full execution inside a single session. One run you are a sniper in cover, the next you ram things at ludicrous speed.
Super mods that rewrite the rules
Past the regular upgrades sit super mods, and these are where builds stop being sensible. Barrage turns any weapon into a bullet hose. Singular Strike fuses every projectile you own into one giant one. Warp Strike makes your shots screen-wrap, Sanctuary turns your shield into a roving bubble you gain power inside, and Dying Star takes constant damage in exchange for burning everything near you, harder the closer you are to death. The game also has challenge modes built around these transformations, so once your skills grow, the rules bend further. A build that sounded like a joke in run one becomes a working strategy in run ten.
Fast runs, endless chasing
Runs are short enough to experiment freely and long enough for a build to reach its full, ridiculous form. The core loop is classic arcade: survive the waves, chase the score, die, go again. Endless mode asks how far a finished build can actually be pushed. Draft drops you deep into enemy territory with a pre-built ship, and Wild Metamorphosis offers a tougher, more transformative take where the mods get stranger. As you rank up, modular challenge modes unlock with greater risk and greater rewards. It is the kind of game where you look up and an hour has gone, and the leaderboard shows exactly which mods you picked, in order, so you can plan the next attempt.
Questions worth asking?
Can you play it solo?
Yes, it is a singleplayer game through and through. You fly alone against waves of enemies and bosses, with leaderboards to chase and daily-style challenge modifiers to keep runs fresh. No team required, no waiting around.
How long does a run take?
A standard run takes roughly half an hour to forty minutes, with upgrades arriving steadily the whole way. Endless and challenge modes can stretch a good build much longer, so a "god run" is worth setting aside time for.
