A catalog that grows with your ideas
Start with a Room, Camper, Boat or Garden, then fill it from a catalog of more than 1,100 objects: beds, bookshelves, plants, string lights, scratching posts. Everything bends to your will. Recolor a couch, shrink a floor plant into a table plant, duplicate a lamp until the string lights reach the ceiling. The floor itself changes too: click it and reshape a small square into an L-shaped room, a circle of grass, whatever the space calls for. When the furniture you want does not exist, the built-in object maker lets you build it from simple shapes, and it is friendlier than that sounds. One moment you are placing a rug, an hour later you are designing a custom wardrobe to match it.
Setting the scene, down to the weather
A diorama is more than its furniture. Pick from dozens of backgrounds and environments, then set the lighting and ambient sound to match. Choose the snowflake and snow drifts down past the window; choose the umbrella and rain starts falling. Once the room feels right, open the camera mode: filters and effects like tilt shift turn your little scene into a photo worth keeping, saved straight to your screenshots. And if the room gets messy in the process, there are tools for that too. A mop, a duster, a vacuum cleaner: tidying up is part of the fun, which says something about the kind of game this is.
No clocks, no wrong answers
Nothing here punishes you. There are no timers, no failure states, no score chasing: just a quiet space and a catalog of cheerful, rounded objects in bright colors. If a blank room feels intimidating, the gentle design requests on MakeRoom Island ease you in, showing what the tools can do and handing you a new decor item for each one. After that, the pace is entirely yours. Ten minutes of rearranging a bookshelf or a whole afternoon building a tiny world both count as playing it right. It is the kind of game you open to unwind, the way you might tidy a real shelf just because it feels good.
Can you play it without a tutorial?
Do you have to do the design requests first?
No. The guided requests are optional, a short way to learn the tools and find inspiration if a blank room feels daunting. You can jump straight into freeform building with the full catalog and the object maker from the start.
Can you put animals in your rooms?
Yes. There is a whole Pets category, with cats, dogs and fish among the furry and finned friends you can add to a diorama. They can be recolored like everything else, and the cat furniture selection alone is worth a look.
What can you actually build in it?
Small scenes, mostly: a single room, camper, boat or garden, with floor shapes you can resize and reshape. Within that, the range is wide, from a cozy cat room to a cluttered maximalist hotel lobby. You can suggest extra rooms with doors, stairs and walls, but multi-room layouts are not a feature.
