$9.09 (−30%)Ib A gallery that watches back
A little girl gets lost in an art gallery that is not what it seems. Ib is a short, atmospheric pixel adventure about exploring strange rooms, solving gentle puzzles and making choices that decide which of seven endings you get. It is unsettling rather than brutal, and its story lingers long after the two hours it takes to finish.

A gallery that stops behaving like one
Ib visits an art gallery with her parents, turns a corner, and they are gone. That is where you start: a quiet museum that slowly stops making sense, where the paintings watch back and the rooms change as you search for a way out. You inspect your surroundings, pick up items and watch out for traps, with nothing more complicated than moving and an interact button. The pixel art does a lot of quiet work here, and the remake redraws nearly all of it, with new maps, characters, artwork and effects. One moment you are examining a painting; the next, the gallery has rearranged itself around you.
Company in the strange rooms
You will not stay alone for long. Companions join Ib as the story unfolds, and the remake adds a conversation system that lets you talk to them almost anywhere. Chatting is not just flavour: companions offer hints for puzzles, and bringing them back to earlier rooms can trigger new dialogue. The remake also adds Zoom Mode, so you can spot small items and look at the artwork in detail, which matters in a game where the exhibits themselves are part of the mystery. The puzzles are tuned to be approachable, in keeping with the original's aim of being playable by anyone.
