$9.99Gunpoint Rewire the building, trick everyone
A stealth puzzle game where you rewire buildings to trick the people inside them. Play a freelance spy taking shady jobs, connect a lightswitch to a trapdoor, and solve each mission your way: quiet, loud, or through a window.
Is Gunpoint worth it?
Gunpoint is worth it if…
- you enjoy puzzles where the solution is something you invented yourself
- you like short games you can finish in an evening and replay differently
- you want a funny, noir-flavoured story about murder and espionage
- you'd rather trick guards than outshoot them, but don't mind the option

The Crosslink: crime by click and drag
Your main gadget is the Crosslink. It shows you how every device in a building is wired, and you rearrange the connections with a click and drag. Wire a lightswitch to a trapdoor, wait for a guard to wander across, flick it, and he drops through the floor. Connect a camera to a door instead of an alarm. Hook a motion sensor up to something unpleasant. The puzzles have no single right answer, only the one you invent, and discovering a route nobody else thought of is the whole pleasure of the game. It is simple to grasp in minutes and stays fun to fiddle with right to the end.
Your call how the job goes down
Every mission can be finished your way. Take it slow and quiet, slipping past cameras and knocking guards out unseen. Or kick the door in, rewire an enemy's gun to fire at its owner, and leave through a plate glass window seven stories up. Between jobs you choose what to tell your clients, including lying to them, and you can buy specialist gadgets to match your style. Nobody has more than one hit point, including you, so a plan and a mistake are never far apart. Missions take a few minutes each, which makes it easy to try the same level three different ways.
What should you know before playing?
How long does it take to finish?
It is a short game. Players commonly finish it in a few hours, and some replay missions for better ratings or to try a different approach. A level editor and community-made levels give it more life after the story ends.
Is the story any good?
It is a noir tale of murder and espionage across 20 missions, told with sharp, genuinely funny writing. You make choices about what to tell your clients, and the story is skippable entirely if you only want the puzzles.
Can you play it without hurting anyone?
Yes. Non-violent routes are a real option, and the game rewards manipulation over force. That said, violence is on the menu if you want it, from pouncing on guards to wiring their own weapons against them.
Is it hard?
The mechanics click within minutes, and the hardest puzzles are optional. Mistakes are obvious the moment they happen, so you learn fast. If a level fights you, there is usually a second, stranger way through.
