Solo or with up to seven friends
Core Keeper is a mining sandbox adventure built for 1 to 8 players. You can play the whole thing solo, at your own pace, learning to survive in the cavern alone.
Or you can team up with friends in online co-op. Online co-op supports 2 to 8 players with drop-in and drop-out play, so people can join for an evening of digging and building, then leave.
An underground world with its own mystery
You wake as a traveler in a cavern lost to time, and your goal is to solve the riddle of the old Core.
The world around that goal holds diverse biomes that each have their own ecosystem and lore. Exploring is fun: you push outward into new ground, find resources and ruins, and meet Cavelings living in the dark. When you reach the Sunken Sea, you can build a boat and sail across it to keep the search going.
Mining, machines, bases, and gardens
Survival here means digging up supplies. You mine resources and relics, then make gear for staying alive, including pickaxes, fishing rods, and shovels plus traps, bombs, and mortars.
As your base grows, automated machines help with mining, smelting, and storage. You can build a base from many materials and customize it to fit how you play. Between trips underground, you can grow a garden, fish, and raise and care for animals.
Titans, talents, and glowing pixel art
The cavern holds legendary Titans, bosses that guard the world's secrets. You put talent points into stronger abilities and prepare for those fights, and you can change your character's looks with armor and outfits along the way.
It is a 2D game with pixel graphics, and the pixel art looks attractive. The lighting and water effects look good.
