Is Cloudheim worth it?
Cloudheim is worth it if…
- you want action where the physics do half the fighting and half the laughing
- you like a loop of heading out to fight, then coming home to craft and build
- you enjoy running a little fantasy shop while your staff mind the counter
- you want a co-op game that shares loot fairly and welcomes casual players
- you can accept an early access game that is still growing its content

Combat built on chaos
Fights here are less about perfect combos and more about creative destruction. The world is breakable and reactive, so everything is a potential weapon: smash a pillar onto a monster, lasso an enemy into a tornado, fire Greebles out of a cannon, or boot an exploding barrel into the middle of a fight. Chain abilities with your team for brutal group combos, or send one unlucky creature flying across the map and watch physics do the rest. It is fast, frantic and often ridiculous, and the slapstick is the point. Shields break, monsters pinball into each other, and the best-laid plan usually ends in glorious mayhem.
A home on a turtle's back
Your base is Odin Shell, an ancient turtle who summoned you to help restore the world. Build your workshop on its back, forge weapons, gear and abilities, and sell what you make to fund the journey. Crafting is visual, so you shape things on the spot instead of getting stuck in menus, and nobody has to wait for a friend to finish fiddling with a recipe. The loop has a nice rhythm to it: head out and smash things, come home to craft and upgrade, then head out again stronger. There is even fishing, which the game itself calls a very important feature.
Gather, craft, build it up
If you like starting with nothing and working your way up, the loop here delivers. You explore islands for ore and loot, forge your finds into weapons and gear, and keep expanding your workshop on Odin Shell with new stations and upgrades. Weapons grow as you use them, and crafting feeds directly back into combat, so every haul matters. The shop side is the slow, relaxed half of the game: stock shelves, fill orders and let your staff handle the counter while you plan the next expedition. Fast fights out there, cozy tinkering back home.
Better with friends
Unlock new playable Runari together and chain your abilities into team combos no solo run can manage. Then, when the mood strikes, turn on Unbridled Chaos and lasso your friends mid-combat, because frankly they deserve it. One thing to know before you jump in: progress and gear live on the host's world, so joining someone's game means helping them more than building your own stash. Play with people you can come back to, and it is a blast.
