Smash castles with ridiculous aim
You hold the ballista. You drag, aim, and loose bolts, Morningstars, Apple Grenades, Homing Eagles, and yes, flying sheep at the enemy fortress across the field. Hit a load-bearing wall and the whole tower leans, cracks, and drops its troops into the rubble. It is part aiming puzzle, part demolition derby, and landing a shot that takes out three soldiers and a flag bearer never gets old.
Juggle troops, spells, and a hero
While the ballista reloads, the ground war keeps moving. You spend resources to send out swordsmen, knights, and donkey riders to hold your gate and steal the enemy flag. When the line breaks, you drop a spell or take direct control of a hero to hack through the crowd yourself. Win by capturing the flag, flattening the castle, or whatever else the mission demands, then spend your spoils on new weapons and troop classes.
Build a castle worth knocking down
Between battles you design your own fortress room by room, and placement matters. Strong walls up front, useful chambers tucked safely behind them, because whatever you leave exposed gets blown up first. The solo campaign follows Sir Gareth chasing a stolen gem across twelve bright battlefields, with a comical story that never takes the war seriously. Split-screen duels, online battles, and survival co-op let a friend join the wrecking crew.
Good to know before you storm in?
Can you play it solo?
Yes. There is a story-driven solo campaign plus survival and skirmish-style modes you can play alone, so you can happily ignore multiplayer and still get the full loop of building, shooting, and sending troops.
How does co-op work?
Two players can team up locally or online. In Survival co-op one of you works the ballista while the other handles ground forces, and in Last Stand co-op you both control a hero against endless waves. There is also 1 vs. 1 split-screen if you would rather bombard each other.
Is building castles complicated?
No. You place rooms and walls in an editor, and your layout decides which troops and resources you get in battle. Keep the important rooms behind thick walls and you understand most of it. Optimizers can tinker, everyone else can keep it simple.
Does it stay the same mission after mission?
The core stays aim, spawn troops, and break things, but objectives change between flag captures, demolitions, hero fights, and survival stands. Some later missions switch to direct hero control, which plays more like side-on action than tower defense.
