$29.99BONEWORKS Physics That Answer to You
A VR adventure where every object and weapon obeys real physics, and the story behind it all runs deeper than it looks.
Is BONEWORKS worth it?
BONEWORKS is worth it if…
- you already know your way around VR and want a game built for it
- you like games where the intended solution is only one option among many
- you enjoy physics chaos, from clever traps to plans falling apart hilariously
- you want a story campaign with atmosphere and mystery, not just a sandbox

Everything moves because you moved it
BONEWORKS runs on one consistent set of physics rules, and it commits to that completely. Your body has weight and presence, so climbing means actually hauling yourself up a rope or ledge, and reloading a gun means working the mechanism with your hands. The game rewards the routes you invent: creative ways through a level often hide secrets and collectibles. Some players even find ways out of bounds without a single glitch, just by climbing the pipes. If you have ever wanted a VR game that does not tell you the one correct way to do things, this is it.
Fights where the plan is optional
Combat follows the same physical rules as everything else, so there is no single answer to an enemy. Guns, swords, axes, clubs, spears, hammers, experimental energy weapons and stranger anomalous tools hang on your body, ready to grab when you need them. Ammo runs short in the campaign, which pushes you toward improvisation: catch a gunner's arm and bend it the wrong way, throw him off a ledge, or set up a physics trap and let the environment do the work. The tone swings hard, from slapstick chaos to moments that get genuinely tense and unsettling as the story digs into Monogon Industries and Myth OS. One honest note: bare-fisted punching feels weak compared to the weapons, so keep something in your hands.
What should you know before buying?
Do you need VR experience to play it?
Yes, and the game says so itself. The physics systems assume you understand common VR gameplay principles, and the constant physical interaction can overwhelm someone brand new to headsets. If BONEWORKS would be your first VR game, get comfortable with VR basics elsewhere first, then come back to this one.
Is there a story, or is it just a physics sandbox?
There is a full narrative campaign. You work through dangerous playscapes while uncovering the inner workings of Myth OS, the artificial intelligence operating system built by Monogon Industries. The story leans mysterious and gets darker as it goes. There is also a sandbox mode if you just want to experiment with the physics and weapons.
