A heroine who is anything but a blank slate
Kanon has beauty, brains, manners and a queue of people asking her for favors. She runs class committees, volunteers outside school, and smiles through all of it. She also has a secret she cannot tell anyone (it is really not a big deal, she insists).
This is not a heroine built as an empty shell for you to wear. She has her own face, her own name you can change, and her own comedy timing. You follow her life rather than step into it, and the game leans into that: her reactions and inner grumbling drive most of the laughs. If you like a lead with actual character, that is the deal here.
Three boys, seven endings
Three romance targets, each with a very different flavor. Hayato, the stepbrother: handsome, handy, popular, and incapable of actually defying his big sister no matter how cheeky he acts. Ayumu, the transfer student who clutches a light novel and keeps to himself. And Yuu, the polished, gentlemanly underclassman who is far more grown-up than his age.
Your choices branch the story into seven endings, and the routes do not feel like copies of each other. Some are pure fluff, some land harder emotionally than the title suggests. One warning from long sessions: the twins' route is much longer than the rest and divides players, so save it for when you are committed.
Reading, laughing, choosing
This is a visual novel through and through: you read, you look at hand-drawn art, you pick, the story moves. It is casual and low-pressure, no timers, no fail states, just a school comedy that carries you along at a quick clip.
Everything except the heroine is fully voiced, which gives the boys a lot of life. The package also includes the complete content of the published visual fanbook: extra short stories and manga to read after the routes. One honest note: it is only playable in Japanese and Simplified Chinese, so plan accordingly.
