School days before the life-or-death fights
You run around a detailed 3D field, talk to the other girls, and live through their irreplaceable daily routine between missions. Meals, jokes, small worries, and band songs fill the time before you face the Cancer again. The story is strong, and the cast of girls with distinct personalities is a highlight. That contrast is the point: ordinary school life matters because humanity has lost most of its land and is counting on the Seraph unit as its last hope.
Simple commands where teamwork decides it
Battles use simple-operation command fighting with real depth, and cooperation between characters is what breaks the Cancer. You pick skills, manage turns, and line up allies so their abilities support each other against an enemy that shrugs off normal weapons. The look mixes anime style with 3D battle scenes, fully voiced by 50 actors, and the 40-plus vocal songs give big fights a cinematic, colorful edge. It is turn-based tactics you can learn quickly and keep tuning.
What else should you know?
Who are you fighting as?
You join the Seraph unit as Kayamori Ruka, one of the talented girls who can wield the decisive weapon Seraph. The Cancer cannot be hurt by conventional arms, so humanity gathered girls like her as its last hope. You fight beside squads such as 31A, including Yukki, Megumi, Tsukasa, Karen, and Tama, all fully voiced.
What do you actually do day to day?
You explore the field on foot, trigger conversations and events, and experience the unit's daily life. When battle comes, you switch to turn-based command fights where linking characters matters. Exploration feeds the story, and the story gives the fights their weight.
How big is the music part?
Large. The game has over 40 songs, with theme and insert songs produced by Jun Maeda and sung with Yanagi Nagi, plus the in-story band She is Legend. Songs play through daily scenes and battles, so the soundtrack works as part of the drama rather than background.
Does your choice matter?
Yes in the adventure sense. This is a choose-your-own-adventure style story with choices that shape scenes and relationships, set inside a fixed larger plot about the Cancer war. Expect character moments and branching conversations more than branching endings.
