$19.99Alpha Protocol™ Every Word Is a Weapon
Run covert operations as a burned spy whose conversations, alliances and trigger pulls decide how the story ends.
Is Alpha Protocol™ worth it?
Alpha Protocol™ is worth it if…
- you want a spy story where your words change the plot as much as your bullets
- you enjoy role-playing a character's personality, not just picking good or evil
- you can forgive dated graphics and stiff animations for sharp writing and real consequences
- you like games that reward a second playthrough with entirely different outcomes

Conversations with a timer and real teeth
Talking is the core weapon here. Dialogue gives you stances, professional, suave, aggressive, and a few seconds to pick one, so people react to how you speak, not just what you choose. Characters remember your behaviour, form opinions of you before you ever meet, and can refuse to help, or send extra enemies to your next mission, if you rub them the wrong way. There are no obvious good and evil options: everyone has their own agenda, and you decide who to trust, charm or double-cross. A single careless line early on can close a romance, open an alliance with Russian arms dealers, or change how the whole plot resolves.
Play the agent you want to be
The game watches how you play and rewards it. Sneak through missions as a ghost, go loud with a shotgun, or talk your way past half the game, and your perks grow to match that style. Between missions you buy intel, weapons and gear from your safe house, and your handlers, who guide you by radio, give different bonuses depending on your relationship with them. Stealth is a real option, and the pistol is genuinely fun to use, though the gunplay in general feels clunky and takes some patience. Multiple endings and wildly different playthroughs make a second run almost mandatory.
