Cook your kills or starve
Defeating a monster only gets you the ingredients. Levels come from food: at rest stops in the dungeon, you turn your kills into meals, and eating them is the only way to grow stronger. So every fight is also a grocery run, and hunger is always ticking in the background. Each dish comes with its own illustration and description, and the cooking is generous: plenty of recipes, different seasonings, and better meals from rarer meat. One catch to plan around: you can only cook at rest stops, so the food you carry has to last until you find one. Push deeper on an empty stomach and the dungeon will settle the matter.
Every run down, nothing comes back up
This is a roguelike with teeth. Each dive into the dungeon starts your level from scratch, and if you die, you lose everything you were carrying. That turns every floor into a decision: the way ahead is richer, the way back is safer, and the deeper you go, the more there is to lose. The dungeon itself is randomly generated, so layouts, enemies and surprises shift from run to run, and the atmosphere changes as you reach new depths. Progress is not lost with you, though: permanent upgrades and skill points earned in town make each new attempt faster and more comfortable than the last.
