Same-screen alien defense for two
This one is built for sharing a keyboard or plugging in joysticks and fighting side by side. You move through the alien-infested colony New Atlantis and a secret military base, covering doors, reviving the plan when hordes split you up, and backing each other against bosses that take some putting down.
NPC allies join the fight too, and security cameras and computer logs fill in what happened to the colony. It is straightforward social shooting: one screen, lots of targets, plenty to smash.
Upgraded guns and breakable everything
You carry high-tech weaponry and tune it with upgrades that change how it kills. You set a Fuel Trap with the flamethrower, spread Poison Grenades from the grenade launcher, or tighten the laser rifle into a Pinpoint Laser.
The colony breaks around you. Glass shatters, trees fall, barrels explode, furniture blows apart, and you can use that wreckage to your advantage. Your flashlight matters too: light and shadow shape the fear, and some aliens react to it, so sweeping a dark corner before you walk in is just good manners.
What else should co-op friends know?
How does co-op work?
It is single-computer co-op with a split keyboard or joysticks, so you play together on the same screen. That makes it a couch setup: coordinate who takes which side of a room, who grabs upgrades, and who watches the rear when aliens pour in.
Can you play it solo?
Yes. There is a full single-player campaign with an alien-invasion storyline, NPC allies who fight beside you, and computer logs and security cameras that explain the origins of the attack. Co-op is an extra way to play through the action.
What are you actually fighting?
Alien hordes, brutal monsters, and large bosses across places like New Atlantis and a secret military base. Weapons have multiple upgrades, the environment breaks apart, and lighting and your flashlight can affect how some aliens behave, so positioning and light use count.
