Free to playVHS
Click a chunky videotape, watch the number climb, and let the 80s glow do the rest. VHS is a bare-bones idle clicker about stacking tapes, buying auto-click upgrades, hitting rewind to start over slightly stronger, and grabbing a random item drop every 2 hours while retro music plays.
Is VHS worth it?
VHS is worth it if…
- you like idle clickers you can leave open on the side
- you enjoy 80s and 90s videotape looks and retro music

Click tape, buy upgrades, hit rewind
The loop is simple on purpose. You click the tape to make more tapes, spend them on upgrades that click for you, and chase the long climb toward one billion. Press rewind and it all resets, with +1 click power for the next run.
While the count ticks up you can unlock Pong and Snake-style minigames, swap backgrounds and tape looks from item drops, and check the leaderboards to see how your nostalgia stacks up. Leave it open on the side, click for a while, come back for the next drop. It runs smooth as background company, which is the whole point.
How does it actually play?
Do you have to keep the game open?
Yes. There is no offline progress, so tapes and the 2-hour item drops only build while it is running. That is why it works best as a side game: open it while you watch something else, click a bit, check the drops, close it when you are done.
What do the upgrades and rewind do?
Upgrades automate the clicking so the count rises on its own, though each tier gets more expensive. Rewind is the prestige button: it wipes your total back to zero and gives +1 click power, so the next climb starts a little faster. Two minigames unlock along the way.
