Free to playTransformice Race for the cheese
Frantic 2D platforming races where dozens of mice scramble over wobbling physics toward the hole, one chaotic round at a time.
Is Transformice worth it?
Transformice is worth it if…
- you like short, frantic rounds you can play for ten minutes or three hours
- you enjoy multiplayer games where half the fun is things going hilariously wrong
- you like building, whether that is Shaman contraptions, custom maps or whole game modes
- you played it years ago and wonder if it still holds up

Two minutes, one cheese, total mayhem
Every round is the same simple job: grab the cheese, carry it back to the hole, be first. Every round plays out completely differently. You have under two minutes, dozens of other mice want the same cheese, and the physics have no interest in your plans. You leap for a platform, another mouse lands on your head, and suddenly half the room is falling into the same pit. Rounds are short, so one more go is always tempting. It is easy to pick up and, as plenty of long-time players will tell you, genuinely hard to master.
The Shaman decides your fate
Each round, one player becomes the Shaman, a mouse with building powers who can spawn planks, balloons and other contraptions to carry everyone safely to the cheese. Or not. A good Shaman anchors a plank across a gap and the whole horde trots over it. A bad or mischievous one can end the round in seconds. Saving mice levels up Shaman skill trees, so the builds you can make get more ambitious over time. When it is your turn, you decide: be the hero, be the engineer, or be the reason everyone is screaming in chat.
More maps than you could ever finish
There are 200 official maps and seven official game modes, from racing rounds with halved timers to survival rounds where cannonballs rain down. That is only the start: players have built more than five million maps, plus dozens of extra game modes, using the built-in level editor and LUA scripting. No two rounds are ever the same, and if you have an idea for a map or a whole mode of your own, the tools are already there. Between events, unlockable titles, badges and a wardrobe of hats, there is always another thing to chase.
