Sprout

You are a small seed with big plans: grow up into a mighty oak. To get there you make friends, pick up plant skills, and solve gentle puzzles, including sprouting into new forms like coconut or vine. Warm, hand-drawn, and funny in a botanical way.

Is Sprout worth it?

Sprout is worth it if…

  • you like slow, careful planning with no time pressure
  • you like puzzle games that teach by showing, not by tutorials
  • you like cute, colorful stories about friendship and growing up

Growing into an oak, one plant at a time

You land in warm sand with only a vague dream of shade and acorns. Your parents cannot teach you oak life, so they teach you coconut life instead, which at least gets you across the ocean.

From there you keep changing shape. Each plant you sprout into has its own knack for getting around and getting things done, so progress means noticing what the land needs and picking the right leaves for the job. You also pick up skills from the plants and animals you meet, then put them together to open the next stretch of the mainland.

Friendly puzzles and an undignified shortcut

This is a point-and-click adventure built around watching, chatting, and trying things. The puzzles teach themselves as you play, with no rush and no twitchy timing, and there is real satisfaction in cracking one by paying attention.

The tone stays sweet and a little silly. Yes, one of the valid travel methods is passing through an animal's digestive tract. You get through a sheep to get where you are going, which is exactly as glamorous as it sounds.

Good to know before you sprout?

Can you play it solo?

Yes. It is a single-player adventure, so the whole trip from stray seed to mighty oak is yours alone, at your own pace.

Do you need fast reflexes?

No. The puzzles run on observation and experimenting with your plant forms, not speed, which keeps it calm and welcoming for younger players too.

Is it family friendly?

Yes. The look is bright and storybook-like, the cast is friendly, and even the poop jokes stay on the goofy side.
