One body, two heads, all the wobble
Red and Blue share one long body with a stretchy middle, and everything in the game grows out of that. You bite things with one head while the other pulls, stretch across a gap to reach a switch, or freeze your elongated body stiff to bridge an obstacle. One head clamps onto a tap and the other spits the water out, turning the whole dog into a living hose. The physics are wobbly on purpose: plans fall apart, dogs fly off ledges, and the mess is the fun. Pull cheeky faces with a button press whenever words fail.
Three worlds built for sniffing around
The Phoggyverse splits into three themed worlds of six levels each, plus a boss at the end of every one. Food World runs on treats, from hot buttered toast to a river of chocolate, with puzzles about watering plants and chopping vegetables. Sleep World glows under a night-light, all teddy bears, cushions and quilts, where you fiddle with lamps and clocks to beat the dark. Play World is a giant toybox: a beach amusement park, a retro arcade and little minigames to clear. Hidden secrets and golden bones are tucked into every corner for anyone who likes to poke about.
Made to be played together
This is a game about putting two heads together. The puzzles are teamwork puzzles by design: one of you holds the scissors blade while the other pulls, you take turns biting cliff-side posts to climb past a drop, and every solution needs both of you pulling the same direction. It works local, online, or with two players sharing one controller, and there is a proper single-player mode too, where your left hand runs one head and your right hand the other. The puzzles stay gentle rather than punishing, so a session is about laughing at your own chaos, not failing over and over.
Questions before you play?
Can you play PHOGS! alone?
Yes. There is a full single-player mode where one player controls both heads, usually with a gamepad: one stick for Red, one for Blue. It plays like patting your head and rubbing your tummy at the same time, which some find charming and others find fiddly. A gamepad is the comfortable way to do it.
How long does it take to finish?
The main story runs roughly 9 to 12 hours. Chasing every golden bone, hat and hidden secret across all 24 levels stretches that out, and there is a final Lost Temple to unlock once the three worlds are done.
Is it good for children?
It suits younger players well: the puzzles are gentle, the tone is sweet and there is no violence anywhere. Two people can share a single controller, each taking one head, and NPCs in the world will stop to pet your dogs.
What do you do with the golden bones?
You trade them at hat shops in each world's hub for adorable hats for your Phogs. Bones are hidden throughout the levels, so collecting them doubles as a reason to explore every corner. The hats are purely cosmetic, but a dachshund in a tiny hat is the whole point, really.
