Linelith Puzzles hidden in plain sight

Draw lines through rocks and crystals on a quiet alien asteroid, where the whole world turns out to be one big puzzle.

Is Linelith worth it?

Linelith is worth it if…

  • you like puzzle games where one idea is explored deeply instead of many ideas shallowly
  • you want something short and satisfying, finishable in an evening or in bite-size chunks
  • you enjoy exploring a small world and spotting what does not belong
  • you want to unwind: no timers, no failure states, just you and a line to draw

Drawing lines, one rule, many surprises

The core is simple: trace a line through a grid so it fits the shape of the rock or crystal and satisfies the symbols on it. One rule, learned in minutes, stretched across more than 70 puzzles. The trick is that the game keeps finding new angles on it. A few clever twists arrive as you go, and each one asks you to look at the same mechanic as if for the first time. You trace a loop, it closes, and then a later puzzle quietly suggests the rule meant something else all along. Nothing is unfair, nothing overstays its welcome, and the hardest ones take minutes, not hours.

An asteroid worth wandering

The puzzles are not lined up in a menu. They are embedded in the asteroid itself, and exploring is half the game. Bright, minimalist landscapes of rocks and crystals stretch out under a serene space sky, and at first you solve what you find. Then the game lets on that nearly anything can be a puzzle: a pattern in the terrain, a shape you walked past an hour ago. The world clicks into place as one connected space under a single rule. A single calm music track plays throughout, and there are no timers, so you wander, notice things, and go at your own pace. Stuck on one puzzle? Skip it freely and come back later.

How long does it take to finish?

How long does it take to finish?

Around one to two hours for a straightforward run, less if the puzzles click quickly for you. It is built to be short on purpose: every idea gets used well and then the game ends before it wears thin. It also works well in small sessions, since each puzzle stands on its own and you can skip any that resist you.

How hard are the puzzles?

Gentle to moderate. The difficulty curve is smooth, starting easy and building to a few genuinely thinky ones, but nothing demands hours of head-scratching. If a puzzle stalls you, stepping away for a moment often helps more than grinding at it.

Do you need to know anything before starting?

No. The line-drawing rule is taught through the first few puzzles, with no text or tutorials needed. Everything you need to know is worked out by looking at the shapes and symbols in front of you.

Is it anything like The Witness?

It shares that spirit: line puzzles scattered through an open world, and a late twist that reframes what you thought the rules were. The difference is scale. This is a much smaller, gentler take, built around a single rule rather than a growing pile of them, and it asks far less of your time.
