Keep the train running or else
The L.R.S. Great White is enormous, procedurally rearranged, and falling apart at speed. You check terminals to monitor its parts, repair what breaks, and unlock new cars and rooms with scavenged credits. Stop too long and the cold closes in, or worse. You kick open a crate for supplies, feed a vending machine for something useful, then hurry back before the next storm rolls in with another wave. The blizzard outside is patient. You cannot afford to be.
Tactical pockets and uncooperative monsters
Combat is third-person shooting with an inventory that cares where you put things. Big and medium gear hangs visibly on Doug, and a magazine comes out faster from the chest than from the lower back, so packing smart matters when enemies close in. The creatures have their own relationships: behaviors intertwine, they can help or hinder each other, and armored ones demand you aim for weak points. Upgrade weapons with credits, learn who hates whom, and make it to the extraction point on the locomotive roof before the train reconfigures itself.
Good to know before you board?
Who are you playing as?
He has been sent to the L.R.S. Great White, a locomotive research station run by the secretive SHARK corporation, after it sent out a distress signal. Expect allies, enemies, lore to pick through, and a B-movie style story holding it all together.
What do you actually do moment to moment?
You move car to car through the snowbound train, scavenge resources, spend credits to open doors and rooms, buy supplies, and upgrade weapons. Between fights you maintain the train itself, then brace for enemy waves when storms hit. Small objectives along the way earn cosmetics.
How do the storms work?
Storms bring the deadly waves. You get time beforehand to loot, repair, shop, and load out, then you hold your ground when the creatures come. Survive, reach the extraction point on top of the locomotive, and do it again as the train shifts around you.
