FIFA 22 Real football, real rivals
Take the pitch with real teams and players, then settle it against a friend on the couch or rivals online.
Is FIFA 22 worth it?
FIFA 22 is worth it if…
- you want football with real teams, real leagues and real stadiums
- you like competitive matches where practice genuinely makes you better
- you want a game to play on the couch with friends or family
- you enjoy building something over time, like a club in Career Mode
- you prefer matches that fit into a few minutes rather than an evening

The whole world of football on one disc
Seventeen thousand players, over 700 teams, more than 30 leagues and 90+ stadiums. That is the raw scale of FIFA 22: the Premier League, Bundesliga, LaLiga Santander, the UEFA Champions League, the CONMEBOL Libertadores and plenty more, all licensed and all playable. You pick a rainy Tuesday night in a packed English ground or a continental final under floodlights, and the presentation treats it like the broadcast it is pretending to be. The players look and move realistically, and the matches run four to seven minutes each, so a full fixture list fits into an evening. It is the kind of roster depth where you can spend half an hour just deciding who to be before kicking off.
Career Mode and Create a Club
Career Mode lets you live the dream from either side of the touchline. As a manager, you can invent an entirely new club: design the kits, style the stadium, then choose whether to battle the elite straight away or start in the lower divisions and climb. As a player, you guide your own Pro through their journey, with more ways to progress and grow than before. The choices stack up: who to sign, how to set up the team, whether that young striker deserves another season of patience. It is the mode for long, quiet evenings, one match at a time, with a project that slowly takes shape.
VOLTA FOOTBALL takes it to the streets
VOLTA strips football down to its playground roots. You build a player, pick your gear, and express your style on small street pitches around the world, where skill on the ball is what gets rewarded. Each season brings unique events in special locations, and a seasonal progression system earns you XP towards new gear no matter which mode you play, so time spent anywhere in the game still moves your street player forward. It is a different rhythm from the big stadiums: smaller spaces, quicker decisions, more flair. Play it alone or bring your squad along.
One couch, two controllers, endless rematches
FIFA 22 is built for the lobby. Local multiplayer and local co-op mean a match against a friend is thirty seconds of menu away, and a 2v2 on the same couch is where the game has made some of its best memories: two of you screaming at each other to pass, then celebrating like it actually mattered. Online co-op and PvP extend it beyond the living room, and the competitive side runs deep, with skill and practice deciding who wins. Matches are short enough that "one more game" is a lie you both tell willingly. It is family friendly too, so the youngest player in the house can join in.
