Is FEROCIOUS worth it?
FEROCIOUS is worth it if…
- you like survival games where crafting and shooting carry equal weight
- you miss old-school FPS games with secrets, keys and hidden areas to find
- you want dinosaurs that are more than scenery
- you can forgive some jank and bugs in exchange for a lot of game
- you prefer playing with a mouse, where the shooting feels its best

Surviving the island from scratch
You wash up after a shipwreck with almost nothing, and the island does not wait for you. Predators stalk the undergrowth, terrain kills as readily as bullets, and resources are scarce. Crafting is how you close the gap: gather what the environment offers and build the weapons and gear your situation needs. There is no single right loadout, so what you craft shapes how you fight. The island is not a backdrop either. It is an active, shifting force that punishes carelessness and rewards anyone who reads it well and uses its dangers against the people hunting you.
Turning dinosaurs into your arsenal
The island's most dangerous residents can work for you. With the right tool, you take control of dinosaurs and aim them at your problems: send one to tear into an enemy patrol, smash open a blocked path, or draw attention while you slip past a guarded area. Every encounter becomes a decision. The dinosaur side of the game unlocks slowly, so it takes a few hours before you are commanding anything with teeth. When it arrives, it changes how you look at every fight.
Fights that feel heavy
The shooting is the backbone, and it is solid: weighty guns with real recoil, a manual ammo check when you hold the reload key, and weapons that get dirty and worn until you clean them. Enemies take cover and shoot back, so firefights get loud and desperate fast. The violence is graphic, with dismemberment and over-the-top kills, and the environment joins in: wood splinters, glass shatters, structures come apart around you. One moment that says it all: a giant crab charges a mercenary from behind and rips him apart, and afterwards you craft body armor from its shell.
